Declamation Contest 2015,


The City School acknowledges that education is as much about building character as it is about equipping students with specific skills. We believe that education based on values can strengthen self-esteem, optimism and commitment to personal fulfillment and help exercise ethical judgment and social responsibility. The values and attitudes that we live by, affect how we relate to other people and to all our activities in the environment and so, are a major influence on our prospects for achieving a sustainable future.

 Junior B Section, takes pride in showcasing the importance of value education in the program “Growing with Values” Declamation Contest 2015 on Friday 20th November 2015. The program started at 9:00 am, six values were the focus of declamation contest which included: Love and careHappiness, Cooperation, Respect, Responsibility and Tolerance. The comperes were Rania Jamali from class 6-N and Saifullah Khan from class 6-E. The two judges on panel were, Ms. Noorulain from Prep Boys Section, Mr. Murtaza from Senior Boys Section. The participants were judged on Clarity, Content, Delivery, Interpretation, Vocal Range and Facial Expressions. One student from each class was selected. Two students were given one topic to prepare the speech.
The choir sang two songs one “Responsibility” and the other was “Tell me why?”
Parents of all the participants of declamation contest and choir were invited. Regional Academic Coordinator Ms. Fauzia Tapal and Manager Co-curricular Activities, Ms.Azarmeen Chawla, Principal Ms. Naila Durrani, H.M.s from other sections graced the program which was very encouraging for the teachers and students.

·        Second         Rameez ul Hoda of 6-R.
·        Third                     Amal Umer of 6-N.
·         Consolation Prize   Jawad Raza of 6-E .


The winners were awarded shields and souvenirs were distributed to parents.
