Safety Measures from Corona Virus

At Darakhshan Campus the safety, health and well being of our students and staff is our top priority and we are enhancing all the essential precautionary measures to respond to any outbreak of communicable diseases within our school and also to ensure that our campus remains a safe and healthy learning environment.

Cleaning is an important part of our prevention strategy. At our campus, we are following our regular protocols of frequent and thorough cleaning. On the other hand, we are also making sure to regularly disinfect every sanitary facility and commonly used spaces in order to prevent the spread of any kind of infection. Hand-sanitizers have been installed in all the corridors across the campus and the students will be encouraged to use them more often. We are also going to step up our awareness campaigns to educate students about the deadly virus, seriousness of health issues and importance of hygiene and also about how they can protect themselves from hazards. Furthermore, the staff has also been alerted of the symptoms of the virus and have been advised to report immediately if they observe anything in their surroundings. For safety measures unnecessary external movement inside the campus will be curtailed. The visitors will have to disinfect their hands and wear a clinical mask before entering the school gate. Both the items will be provided by the school.

we would advise the community for precautionary vigilance but not to give in to blind panic. Let us all play our part in keeping good personal hygiene and at the same time taking social responsibility. There may be some inconveniences as preventive and precautionary measures are being enhanced, but together we can keep our children safe while minimizing disruption to learning.

Denning Law School Sport's festival 2020 was held on February 26, 2020.
The City School Dk won the Throw ball event after  beating Shahwilayat School in Finals.

Four girls of Prep Girls Section participated in this tournament which were
Khushbakhat Sundrani, Palak Chisti,  Marium Awan from 8-S and Meharpul from 9M. Congratulations to the winners!

Elocution and Art Contest

Elocution is an art form which few people are blessed with and others must master it through repeated observation, hearing and practice. Participating in elocution imbues a child with confidence as he develops apt form of expressions and voice modulations when it comes to public speaking. Thus, keeping in mind the importance of public speaking Prep Girls Section organized Elocution Wednesday February 19^th, 2020  for Classes 6, 7 and 8. The Elocution Contest for Class 6 and 7 was based on highlighting the values and attitudes we taught to work on and live by  whereas, Class 8 recited poems of the famous poet Edgar Allan Poe. The students discussed these values and its importance through the poems they enchantedTheprogramme was initiated with the welcoming note by Maira Tariq, the Red House Captain. Each participant was given a maximum of 2 minutes to recite her poem. English Elocution was judged by Ms. Farah Faisal, the English Teacher of Senior Girls Section and Ms. Sana Shah, the English teacher of Prep Boys Section on a number of factors such as the content and message of their poem, their pronunciation and clarity, their facial and hand expressions and gestures and finally their ability to memorize the content. Parents were mesmerized by the choir performance. The prize distribution was held after the programme. The programme was concluded by vote of the thanks by Naba Imam, President of English Literary Club.

1st Sindh Throw ball All Karachi Inter School Throwball championship U+13&U-15 was held on 14th and 15th February at Karachi Grammar School.
Our under U-13girls secured 1st position after beating KGS by 2-0 sets.
