organized a General Knowledge Quiz-
Geography based to assess students awareness and deliver the importance of
being aware with the landscape, countries and their capital cities, Currency, landmarks
and topography. The Quiz was organized by the Geography Teachers Ms. Sameen
Omer and Ms. Qurat-ul-Ain Khalid on Thursday 25th April, 2019. The
girls from Class 6, 7 and 8 were selected to form 4 teams named after four
basic elements of Nature: EARTH, WIND, WATER and FIRE. The Contest comprised of
6 rounds with at least 3 questions each. Team WIND stood as the winner
including Ankita from Class 6, Maira Tariq from Class 7 and ZainabZafar from
Class 8whereas, Team FIRE was declared as Runner Ups having SaimaInayat from
Class 6, AzkaAhsan from Class 7 and Fatima Aamirof Class 8.Our heartiest
congratulations to all the winners of the competition. Students received the
certificates of participation and souvenirs as well.

Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated
on April 22, on which day events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for
environmental protection. It was first celebrated in 1970, and is now
coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and celebrated in more than 193
countries each year."
To highlight the significance of Earth Day,
Prep Girls celebrated it on April 18th, 2019. The girls of Class 8 T
organized the assembly with zeal and zest under the sheer guidance of Ms.
Shazia Imran.
The assembly
started with the Holy name of Allah followed by the National Anthem and School
Song. The choir recited an awestruck Naat. The girls presented a skit on wasting
of resources by mankind and signifying the importance of saving resources. The
assembly included a song on Earth’s Day where a group of girls performed as
well.
At the end a pledge was taken by the students
and teachers promising to save the resources. Souvenirs of key chain with Earth
Day logo were given to the teachers.

Love for the country is a natural passion. We
believe that it is our due responsibility to inculcate the love and passion for
our country by considering army as a source of inspiration for us. Today, on
Tuesday April 14th, 2019, Class 8C of Prep Girls Section while
celebrating sectional assembly paid tribute to the martyrs and veterans who
fought the enemy with courage and bravery without caring for their lives in defense
of their country. The Assembly included a small skit followed by the national
Song and a poem recited by the winner of our recently held Urdu Elocution
Contest on “Fauji hoon mein”. The attire of students added spirit to the
presentation.

Math Olympiad was conducted by the Math faculty of
Prep Girls Section on Thursday, April 11th 2019. The primary goal of mathematics competition
was to increase motivation, excitement and interest in mathematics. These competitions
rely on independent problem solving abilities of the contestants and provide a
platform to boost the confidence and develop the sense of achievement in the
individuals.
The
assembly was organized by the Math teachers including Sameen Omer, Mahjabeen
Imran, Nimra Idrees and Sabina Sajjad . The Olympiad was held between 4 teams Mathletes,
Denominators, Math Pirates and Number Ninjas. Each team consisted of 3
students from each level i.e. Class 6, 7 and 8. The Contest was based on 3
rounds with a set of three questions in each. Students did well in all the
rounds however, Team Math Pirates having Ezmae Haroon from 6T,
Sanila Farid from 7 T and Sohaima Owais from 8 T secured 1st Position and Team Number
Ninjas comprised of Saba Sohail from 6 C, Nazifa Zohura from 7C and Mahum
Khan of 8 stood as Runner Ups. The
winners received the certificates for outstanding performance and were well
appreciated by their fellow students. The members of Matheltes and Denominators
received participation certificates.
