S.T.R.E.A.M SHOW

For living in an innovative world, it is critical for young learners to have the opportunity to explore all subject areas. STREAM Learning aligns its content to improve student engagement in authentic learning. It also helps young learners apply their knowledge and skills to real world situations by establishing a holistic approach to learning.

S.T.R.E.A.M stands for Science – Technology – Reading / Research / Religion– Engineering – Arts (humanities and ethics) / Architecture – Mathematics

To showcase the STREAM Approach, Prep Girls Section organized STREAM Show on Tuesday, April 09, 2019. The show allowed students to explore the STREAM approach where they displayed Science Projects, Robotics engineering using scratch, Bumble Pi and Edison along with integration of Art with different subjects.

The guests were welcome by the STREAM representatives wearing shirts displaying letters of STREAM and introducing themselves to develop awareness about STREAM. Guests were honoured with a souvenir of a seedling to emphasize of conservation of natural resources.

Students demonstrated scientific experiments and represented their models. The event helped students gain confidence and improve their communication skills. To add up more flavor to the event, the girls presented badges of “ I am smarter than a 6^th Grader” to the parents to qualified by answering a general knowledge question.

ICT lab was utilized to display the use of technology by our young learners.Class 6 demonstrated online projects including stories and games by using scratch programming. Class 7 demonstrated projects using EdBlocks to program EDISON for performing different task on Edmat whereas, Raspberry Pi( a mini computer) was used to  program a robotic mobile controlled car using Python language.

The STEM lab was operational as well where students used EyeRis to show the innovative approach used by the teachers to teach mathematical concepts specifically.

Overall, the show signified the experiential learning and innovation in teaching and learning where learners explored their potentials and discovered the joy of learning.

The STREAM Show was well conducted by the students and well praised by the visitors.

Urdu Elocution

Value-based Urdu Elocution “Bolke lab aazaadhaintere” 2019 was organized by Urdu Faculty of Prep Girls Section where students from Classes 6, 7 and 8 recited poems of famous poets from history holding values.

 The program began with the Holy Name of Allah followed by the National Anthem and school song. Later, the choir captivated the audience by beautifully sung Hamd.The participants displayed poise, passion and clarity of speech. All the participants faced the audience for the first time and performed to the best of their capabilities. They were valued for their determination by the audience and judges.  At intervals, ManaalGazdar from 7S and Zara Rafiq from 7 Cfrom  sang a melodious song.

The Elocution was judged by Ms. Tauqeer, Urdu Teacher from Senior Boys and Ms. Ghazala, the Urdu teacher from Prep Boys on the basis of Content and message, clarity, memorization of content and facial and hand expression. The hard work of teachers and students paid off immensely. The program was highly appreciated by the Heads, Judges and parents. Displayed below are results of the position holders.

English Declamation Contest 2019 "Speak with Style"

"Speak with Style"

English Declamation “Speak with Style” 2019 was organized by English Faculty of Prep Girls Section. It was exclusively organized for the Council Members. We believe that every individual bears a hidden talent that needs to be identified and polished. Keeping the motto in mind, Prep Girls Section gave chance to new faces in different events throughout the year including English Declamation, Urdu Elocution, English Elocution and Quiz Competitions. As we cannot keep our talented council members deprived so this Declamation was specially organized for Prep Girls Students’ Council. Council members of Class 6, 7 and 8participated for delivering the speech on different topics as mentioned below.

Class 6: Junk food isn’t all that bad

Class 7: Personality matters far more than beauty

Class 8: Media is responsible for the moral decline of teens

 The program began with the Holy Name of Allah followed by the national Anthem and School Song. Later, the choir awe-struck the audience by beautifully sung Naat.

The participants displayed self-confidence, passion and lucidity of speech.  Students were highly appreciated for their efforts by the audience and judges.  At intervals, SuhaimaGul from 8Ngave stunning solo performance as well as a duet performance was given by talented singers of our section Rumaisa Adnan and Maryam Syed from 7T.

The Declamation was judged by Ms. Sarah Shams from Senior Girls Section and Ms. Beeenish Faisal from Prep Boys Section.The hard work of teachers and students paid off immensely.
