                        Letter to Parents TCS reopening                                                 

Dear Parents,

I am pleased to write to you to let you know of our plans leading up to and following on from  our intention to reopen schools from 4^th June, 2020. Please appreciate that this is in line with current government advice which may change. We will let you know promptly if this is modified at government level and we need to amend our arrangements.

Also I would like to re-emphasise that the events of the last few months have been quite exceptional. They have provided unique challenges for many schools including our own, as well as to our established ways of life and work.  Throughout this time we at TCS have been very mindful of the well being and safety of our students and the families from which they come. We will continue to exercise this over-arching duty of care with absolute commitment to them in the way ahead.

·         Interactive links will continue with students from all age groups until 22^nd May when they will be discontinued as the main means of teaching. However they will remain as important learning resources into the future. They will also be available should the Corona Virus or similar recur.

·         Classes will reopen for PG to Grade 9 on 4^th  June, 2020

·         Please note that schools will return to the established full timetables but with an earlier start at 7.30 a.m. with the exception of PG-KG who will start at 8:00 a.m.

·         There will be an online Virtual Induction Programme for AS students starting on 4^th May, 2020

·         Students in Grades 11- A2 return on 4^th June, 2020

·         Those older students in  Grades 10, 11 and AS who opted for Predicted Grades in June and those who will be examined in October and November will start a new academic session from 4^th June, 2020

·         Please note that students in Grades 10, 11 and A1 will be promoted automatically.

·         The curriculum from Week 10 – 16 will be reinforced and revisited  for students PG –Grade 9 from 4^th June – 28^th July , 2020

·         Study Packs will be available for the next academic year in Mid July

·         School Based Internal Assessments will take place between 14^th -21^st July, 2020

o   Please note these will involve Grades 3-5 in English, Mathematics, Science and Urdu

o   Students in Grades 6-9 will take assessments in all subjects

·         Those small number of  Grade 8 students who have opted to be reconsidered for  the O level stream will be required to show their improvement since the Mid Year examinations.

·         The schools will close for students on 29^th July, 2020 and re-open to begin the New Academic Year on 17^th August, 2020.

Please note that your schools will give further clarification should you require it in due course. We very much hope that all of our students will be looking forward to getting back into the routines of coming to school regularly and continuing to build on the work they have been involved in, while working with us from home. I am sure you would like me to thank your children’s teachers for the many hours of work they have put in to help all students deal with these difficult times. We all extend our best wishes for a return to normal and to you and your families for a peaceful and fulfilling Holy Month.

Online Elocution Contest

                                                                                                                                       Keeping under consideration the prevailing situation, it is important to engage students in meaningful activities as it has a positive impact on students’ well-being and helps to eliminate borders and barriers, both social and physical. Along with the Online Teaching Classes, Prep Girls Section organized Elocution Contest where students sent their videos enchanting a value-based poem.

The contest was judged by the English faculty of Prep Boys Section Ms Sana Shah, Ms Fatima Ahmed and Ms Aimen Khadija on a number of factors such as the content and message of the poem, pronunciation and clarity and student’s verbal and non-verbal expressions.

Dear Parents
Kindly collect the adjusted Fee Challans with 20% from school between 11am to 2pm. The due date is April 27, 2020 and validity date is April 30, 2020. You can deposit fee through deposit slip with PV number and Buyer Code in UBL,  Bank Alfalah, or FINCA (online) on the basis of sms with or without the fee challan.
 If you have already paid Apr-2020 fee, 20% discount will be adjusted in the next bill.

In addition to Google Classroom platform that is being used, we are now starting online interactive classes on MS TEAMS as per the following schedule:
• Online classes commencement date for Class 6 to Class 8 students: 13th April 2020 Time : 11:00 am - 2:10 pm and for 9 M from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The links have been provided in the schedule posted on Google Classroom.

These are difficult times and we are taking all possible steps to ensure that academic process continues without any disruption. Your support is very important for effective implementation of all TCS initiatives.

School Fee payments know easier with SIMSIM

Dear Parents and Students,

We are conducting online test of core subjects in the upcoming week. Please note that relevant material will also be uploaded on Google Classrooms where required along with revision classes. The test duration is of one hour.

Instructions:

1.Each student has to appear for the Online Virtual Test.

2. Most of the test will be MCQ based and time bound.

3. The teachers will upload the test on Google Classrooms 10 minutes before the starting time.

 4.Students are expected to attempt the test with intellectual honestly and return the test at or before 1:00pm. 

5. The instructions for submitting Urdu/Sindhi test have been mentioned in the schedule below.

Time line:

Test will appear between 10:50 to 11:00

Time Duration: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Paper to be submitted: 1:00pm (No test will be accepted after 1:00
